Big Daddy's Opens
Big Daddy's Diner, located on 83rd and 2nd, revealed itself last week. If you recall, it took the corner vacated by
Malaysian spot Penang
which was the victim of a rent hike over the summer.

I'm hoping this young french lad has encountered a few better New Year's Eves than the one he documented last week. Titled "New Year's Eve In New York, Upper East Side" on YouTube, the 10 min video is a little...

Wow that signage in the very picture is blinding!

I drove past here last weekend was almost blinded by how bright that place is at nighttime. Wonder if anyone living across the street will complain?
PS - on the crosstown bus this morning saw a big crane taking down the sign for Annie's on 3rd. & 79th.

Anyone remember "2nd Avenue Army Navy" which used to occupy this space?
and btw, lol @ "victim of rent hike." Was the LL a victim for all of the years that they had a tenant underpaying for a prime corner?
and Big Daddy's diner is good, but they do overfry the tater-tots a bit to much (and I love fried foods)
