From the inbox over the weekend comes this opinion: "Worst bar on the Upper East Side? I think that honor should go to Iggy's on 2nd ave. And the two relics playing dice in front of the bar on Sunday night weren't helping the bar's image." Ouch.
Mo's and Iggy's are practically next door neighbors. I'm surprised they haven't gotten together to buy the eatery in between and combine themselves into one giant grody grotto. Imagine all the Hummer limos that would be vying for the curbside on Fri/Sat nights. Okay, let's not.

Oh I second the Mo's Caribbean comment. I can barely walk by it the place smells so bad and the gross clientele are crowding the sidewalk smoking cigarettes.

I don't know what characterizes "worst" to some people because to me, the "worst" bar in the whole of Manhattan is Mo's Caribbean. Tacky decor, horrifying music selection, and people acting as if they're still living in their frat/sorority days do not a great bar make. Although American Trash is disappointing too, at least it has some genuine character and clientele.
