Hi Life In, MDC Out

Opening: Hi Life Bar & Grill, located at 1503 Second Ave (at 78th), is aiming to open its doors Thursday. Workers were out front this morning putting some finishing touches on the spot's exterior. You can get a glimpse of the menu, specials and the "iPod Lounge" here.

Closed: MDC Furniture, which was located across the street from Hi Life, has shuttered this location. Customers needing an update on order status can check in with the company's other NYC outlets -- a sign in the window lists MDC's Upper West Side and Brooklyn phone numbers (212.712.2258, 718.349.9040).
